The biggest errors in cleanroom technology
Does your company and its products require production under strictly defined conditions? Then you need a cleanroom, don't you? This is probably the most common misconception in cleanroom and cleanliness technology! In this series, we will explain other errors in the industry and demonstrate the right solution for evaluating your process.
An established industry
Cleanroom and cleanliness technology has experienced an enormous growth worldwide over the last 30 years. This cross-sectional technology is almost universally recognised as a component of a modern and future-oriented manufacturing and research environment. Cleanroom and cleanliness technology has established itself as an industry.
This is also reflected in the variety of products and services offered by the industry. Workplace solutions, minienvironments, fan-filter modules, qualification measurements, cleanroom clothing, cleanliness suitability tests and much more are all part of cleanroom and cleanliness technology.
The entire process must be considered in order to protect the product from damaging influences and to use the appropriate materials and products. However, this is not always the case, as some outdated or even incorrect assumptions have become deeply established in the minds of users. We want to clear up some of these errors in thinking.
Cleanroom Technology ≠ Cleanroom
How do you find the right solution that is customised to your own processes? This series is designed to help you better understand the differences between individual solution approaches and define your requirements for the production environment more precisely.
Consider this column as a collection of experiences and insights over a period of more than 30 years, in which technical development has moved at a speed that was previously unknown. But above all, please see it as my opinion, which I am expressing here. I am not aiming to be absolutely correct, but rather to stimulate reflection. - Yours, Joachim Ludwig
